Supervised Visitation

Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) is launching a new Supervised Visitation Program to provide children and families with a safe, structured and supportive setting for court-ordered visits.

Supervised visitation helps children maintain important family connections when circumstances require visits with a parent or family member to be monitored. Trained C&A staff are present throughout each visit to support a safe environment, observe interactions, and respond when needed. Every family completes an intake and orientation process before visits begin.

Supervised Visitation Program

The program is child-centered and designed to protect children’s physical and emotional well-being while giving families an opportunity to spend meaningful time together. Depending on the family’s circumstances and court involvement, supervised visitation may support reunification, strengthen parent-child relationships, promote family stability, and help families move toward healthier interactions.

Visits are observational and are not therapy. However, because the program is offered through C&A, families may also be connected with additional behavioral health and family support services when appropriate, including counseling, parenting support, family therapy, case management, Multisystemic Therapy and Care Pathway services.

Referrals to the program are made through the court and must include a court order and required supporting documentation. Fees are determined through C&A’s financial screening process, with a sliding fee scale available to help make services accessible.

The launch of this program builds upon C&A’s strong partnership with Stark County Family Court and our shared commitment to meeting the needs of local children and families. Together, we are helping ensure families have access to supervised visits in an environment built around safety, dignity, and hope.
