MIKE GALLINA

“C&A is a tremendous gift to our community!” wrote Mike Gallina, Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health’s board secretary. “The staff is awesome and their heartfelt connections with the children they serve are the keys to so many young men and women being able to live productive and healthy lives. They truly are missionaries of hope!”

Gallina, a former teacher, coach, principal and superintendent is currently vice president of organizational development and community engagement for AultCare.

“As a former school superintendent and current executive with AultCare, combined with the wonderful mission of C&A, I was honored to be asked to join the board at C&A ‘because of the former and current worlds that I serve,’” wrote Gallina, who is married to Lynnette. They have a son, Kiel, who is married to Jessica. They have two grandchildren, Xavier and Colton. “I am blessed to have been asked to share my skills and talents with such a great organization.”

Gallina stated what he likes best about C&A. “Children are our most prized and treasured gift in this world. C&A’s connection to school districts and families is a powerful support to families as they help their children navigate behavioral health and mental health issues in a developmentally appropriate manner. The gift of a child is nurtured by the gifts and talents of the wonderful C&A staff and leadership team!”

Gallina earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from the University of Mount Union and a master’s degree in educational administration from Ashland University.

Gallina has been a C&A board member for the past 10 years and is board appointed to executive committee. He currently sits on the development board and executive committee of the board. In addition to his service at C&A, he sits on the following boards: North Canton YMCA, YMCA of Stark County Endowment Board, Canton Student Loan Foundation, Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club, Better Business Bureau, Walsh University Advisory Board, Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Massillon Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee.

Hobbies: TV broadcasting as a color commentator for Big Time Sports (football, basketball, baseball and softball) working out, attending sporting events with friends and family and public speaking
