Melissa Coultas

Melissa Coultas has a career of working with non-profits; however, she has always wanted to work for an agency dedicated to helping children. C&A not only allows her the opportunity to work for a cause she is passionate about, but also allows her to work for a cause that has personally touched her own family.
Coultas began her career in politics, working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for Sen. Mike DeWine. Later, she went onto work for a PR agency called GolinHarris (Golin). At Golin, Coultas was part of the world-wide agency’s four-person Government Relations (GR) team, specializing in appropriations for nonprofits and higher education clients. After a few years in GR, Coultas discovered her passion for marketing and began dedicating more time to public affairs and marketing accounts.
Upon returning to Ohio, Coultas worked for State and Federal Communications, a lobbying compliance firm in Akron as the marketing manager. Coultas then spent four successful years at Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties (MOW) where she was the director of community engagement and marketing. She successfully increased the agency’s visibility in the community and exceeded fundraising goals through her development role.
Coultas graduated with honors from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in pre-law. She enjoys spending time with Chris, her husband, Lance, her son, and Lila Mae, daughter.
