LISA WARBURTON GREGORY

“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart. You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give,” wrote Elizabeth Andrew.

Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) Board Member Lisa Warburton Gregory is a true testament to this quote.

C&A is just one of 12 boards Gregory finds time to give back to Stark County. Gregory has been affiliated with C&A since 2006. The roles she has played at C&A are various and include: past president, past vice-president, former treasurer, past assistant treasurer and former chair of the annual Let Your Light Shine fundraiser from 2009-2011.

In additional to C&A, Gregory spends her time volunteering on the Aultman Women’s Board (2002 to present); Aultman Health Foundation Board (2009-2012, 2020-); North Canton Medical Foundation Board (2012-present); United Way of Stark County, Alexis de Tocqueville Society co-chair (2010-2016); Canton Symphony League (2003-present); Shared Blessings (2009 to present); Museum Guild of The Canton Museum of Art (2005-2010); North Canton Alumni Association (1990 to present); North Canton Hoover Lacrosse Booster Club (2004-2016); on various committees of the Stark County Republican Party (2003-present); Meals on Wheels of Stark and Wayne County (2013-2018); Vantage Aging Board (2018-2019); Stark State Foundation Board (2012-present).

Besides her extensive board involvement, she volunteers to pack backpacks once a month for “Blessings in a BackPack” at Deuber Elementary School and volunteers at the Aultman Hospital Women’s Board of Compassionate Care Center since 2013 (every Sunday possible and Christmas and Easter preparing lunch for hospice families).

Gregory recently retired from Mathie Supply. She still works the polls on Election Day.

Gregory has been recognized in the community for her tireless efforts to give back and make Stark County a better place to raise a family. She was voted one of Stark County’s Movers and Shakers in 2010 by About Magazine; recognized in 2010 with her husband Steve by United Way Worldwide for net increase in community impact dollars raised; Stark State Alumni of the Year 2011; Hoover Lacrosse Unsung Heroine Award in 2012; inducted in North Canton Alumni Hall of Distinction in 2012; Women of the Year for Junior League 2013; her and husband honored by The Wilderness Center in 2013; and received the Clayton Horn Award for Moving Our Community Forward 2019.
