KRISTY WOODFORD
Kristy Woodford is a dedicated and accomplished educational leader with a strong background in instructional leadership, student support and curriculum development.
Woodford, who grew up in Deerfield and graduated from Southeast High School, is the new director of student services for Alliance City Schools. Prior to this role, she served as the Alliance High School principal, a role she has held since 2019, following five years as associate principal. Her career began as a math teacher and instructional coach, laying the foundation for her passion for collaborative, data-driven approaches to student success.
A graduate of the University of Mount Union with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and minor in education, Woodward led transformative initiatives at the high school level, including the implementation of AHS Goal Teams, development of professional learning communities and targeted interventions for at-risk students. She has played a key role in aligning academic programming with district goals and building strong partnerships with families and the community.
Woodward earned her master’s degree in instructional technology from the University of Akron and her principal licensure through Cleveland State University. In her new role, she will continue advocating for equity, access and comprehensive support systems that meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Her leadership style is grounded in compassion, innovation, and a relentless belief in the potential of every student. Woodward is committed to creating environments where both students and staff feel seen, valued and empowered to grow.
