C&A’s First Vice-President Jennifer Meek Eells’s favorite quote is “Find something to love about everything you do.”


Meek Eells, a native of nearby Lisbon, graduated from Lisbon David Anderson High School. She earned her associate’s degree at Stark State College in applied science human and social services. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Walden University in business administration and management and she completed her master’s degree in counseling from Capella University.


“Executive Director Joe French and his board invited me to serve on the board and share my knowledge of human resource and business aspects for the organization,” wrote Meek Eells, who is the executive director of the Stark Tuscarawas Workforce Development Board/OhioMeansJobs.

“I love what C&A does for families and children in our community. Our children and young adults are the future in growing a stronger Stark County!”


Meek Eells has served on C&A’s board for four years and currently serves on the human resources and executive committees. In addition to serving on the C&A board, she serves as a United Way Financial Stability Impact Council Volunteer, Ohio Workforce Association President, US Conference of Mayors Workforce Development Council, Canton Chamber Education Committee, Alliance Chamber Economic Development Committee, National Association of Workforce Boards and National Association of Workforce Development Professionals.

Hobbies: flower gardening and landscaping, watching sports including football, baseball and golf, going to concerts and spending time with her family

Favorite book: Seven Habits of Highly Effective People – Stephen Covey (she met him at conference)

Favorite movie: Die Hard with Bruce Willis – I am an 80’s girl that loves a good action flick
