Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) has been awarded numerous grants throughout its history. The agency has a proven track record and is recognized as the premier mental and behavioral health agency in Stark County. C&A has received grants from non-profit agencies and foundations.

Grants awarded in 2023

Aultman Foundation
C&A received a $2,000  grant for the psychiatic services department to provide journals to clients to correlate how their physical health relates to their mental health.

Canton Community Development Block Grant
Awarded C&A $100,000 to renovate four Trauma Informed Day Treatment Classrooms

Alliance Foundation Give 365
Awarded C&A $4,000 for a substance use awareness program to work with students who are caught using substances at school. This program is an alternative for the kids to avoid school suspension.

Massillon Rotary Foundation
C&A received a $2,500 grant to provide self-care and bonding activities for staff, dollars for continuing CEUs for staff and funding for supplies for clinical staff working after-schools at the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon and YMCA locations.

Ohio Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Prevention & Promotion
C&A received a $15,000 grant to host a three-day Prevention Education Conference

Ohio Children's Trust Fund
C&A received a $89,000 from the Ohio Children's Trust Fund for Triple P programming in Stark and Portage counties.

Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton
The foundation awarded C&A 18-month $148,613 through May 31, 2025, to provide  on-site behavioral health services for children enrolled in out-of-school-time programs at the YMCA of Central Stark County and Boys and Girls Club of Massillon.

Stark Community Foundation Anonymous Health
C&A received a $10,000 for a substance use/prevention programming to be piloted at GlenOak High School.

Stark Community Foundation SummerTime Kids Grant

  • Awarded a $381 grant for Trauma Informed Day Treatment Students to build and stain two picnic tables from a kit
  • Awarded $531 for the Trauma Informed Day Treatment students to take a field trip in the fall to Sippo Lake

Women's Fund Grant

C&A received $2,950 for CAMS training for our Clinical Staff. This training helps clinicians identify clients with suicide ideation.

Alliance American Rescue Plan Act Funding Grant
C&A received $10,000 for retention/hiring of staff in Alliance.

College Community Collaboration Grant
$3,560 From Ohio Program for Campus Safety and Mental Health for C&A's collegiate self-care fairs. These fairs provide self-care tips and suicide prevention awareness.

Ohio Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health and Prevention & Promotion
C&A received a $13,780 to design a Stark County Prevention Education Conference.

Ohio Children's Trust Fund
C&A received a $95,000 from the Ohio Children's Trust Fund for Triple P programming in Stark, Summit and Portage counties.

Ohio Mental Health & Addiction Services
Awarded C&A a $58,233 grant to support efforts to expand an already established Youth-Led programming with the development of a sister program to target transitioned  aged youth ages 18-25.

Sisters of Charity Foundation
Awarded C&A $100,000 to support behavioral health services for children participating in after-school and summer programs offered by the YMCA of Central Stark County and Boys & Girls Club of Massillon.

United Way of Greater Stark County
The Early Childhood Prevention Program received a consultation grant for $73,436.50.
C&A, in collaboration with the YMCA Boys/Girls Prevention Program, received a grant for $126,000.
