COLIN CHRISTENSEN

Colin Christensen started at Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) a quarter of a century ago as a practicum student. Twelve years ago, he returned to C&A as a psychologist working in the Psychological and Counseling Services (PACS) Department. Christensen’s additional responsibilities include being the utilization manager and PQI Coordinator.


In between his stints at C&A, he completed an internship at Dallas Child Guidance Clinic. Following his internship, Christensen worked for parochial schools in Cleveland; Northeast Ohio Behavior Health; Indian River Juvenile

Correctional Facility; PSI and Akron Children’s Hospital serving private schools in Summit and Cuyahoga counties; Total Education Solutions in Akron; and Fordyce and Associates in Stark County.

Christensen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Texas Wesleyan University. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Akron.


His favorite quote is Harper Lee’s to Kill a Mockingbird - “Real courage is when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.”
