Sandy Vaughn has always felt her purpose and mission in life is to lift children up and improve their lives. She passionately believes children are our future and we need to give them hope for a better tomorrow despite their current circumstances.
Vaughn began her career with C&A in 1980 as a teacher in the Day Treatment Program. She became the director of Day Treatment in 1985 and moved into her current role in 1987. Her longevity with C&A shows her commitment to the children and adolescents we serve in Stark County. As chief operating officer, some of her duties include human resource management, HIPAA Privacy and Security, technology, certification and licensure and insurance for the agency. When she is not working, she enjoys reading and boating during her free time.
Vaughn earned her bachelorr’s degree in elementary education from Malone University and a master’s degree in special education from Walsh University. She has a certification in human resources (SPHR) and is an American Red Cross Instructor.
