Meredith Millward

Meredith Millward joined the team at Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) as in intern in January of 2012. She was hired after completing her internship and starting working as a school-based counselor, where she worked with children and families in Sandy Valley and Plain Local school districts. Millward was later promoted to lead diagnostic assessor at C&A and then later promoted to her current positions as Master’s Internship Program Coordinator and Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program Manager.
Millward believes in clinical excellence and she takes her role as Master’s Internship Supervisor seriously. Millward believes in providing a supportive training environment for her interns as she knows that the interns that she is training now will soon become her peers and collaborators in the field of counseling. She is driven to train clinicians to be effective and compassionate providers.
Millward believes that all children are innately good and want to be successful, regardless of what behavior they are displaying in the moment. When a child is engaging in poor behavior that behavior is a sign that the child is struggling and it is a signal to all the adults in that child’s life that they need to come together, support, find solutions and follow through in order to help that child and family be successful. Millward knows that all treatment interventions can be tailored to fit unique situations.
She has a master’s of education degree from Kent State University.
