C&A announces internal promotions of Jodi Santillo and Melissa Coultas

Canton, OH (October 15, 2020) ­ – Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) recently announced the promotion of two staff members. Jodi Santillo is the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Melissa Coultas is named Chief Advancement Officer (CAO).

Santillo, who has been with C&A for 20 years, was the assistant clinical officer. Santillo started her career at C&A as a school-based provider, then moved to supervisor of community psychiatric supportive treatment providers; and later was named coordinator of community psychiatric supportive treatment providers before moving to her most recent position. Santillo replaces Sandy Vaughn, who is retiring as COO in January of 2021 after 45 years of service to the agency.

Santillo earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in community counseling from Kent State University. Following graduation, she starter her career at Valley Counseling Services, Inc., as a counselor before becoming a case manager/team leader for Coleman Crisis Center.

Coultas, who joined C&A in September of 2018 as director of Mission Advancement. Coultas is responsible for development, fundraising for the agency and overseeing the marketing and events department.

Prior to joining C&A, Coultas worked as the director of marketing, community engagement and administration at Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties, where she was responsible for marketing, development and partner relationships.

Coultas, who earned her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in political science and minored in pre-law, started her career as a staff assistant for then United States Senator Mike DeWine. From there, she worked her way up to Account Group Supervisor for GolinHarris, a world-wide public relations firm in Washington, D.C. Coultas brings nearly 20 years of unique experience in government relations, coalition building, development, marketing and fundraising to this new position.

CEO Joe French believes these two promotions will continue to highlight C&A’s growing presence in the community. “I am thrilled to promote two internal staff members and welcome them to our executive team,” states French. “We have two stars among us with vision and passion for the mission of our agency, who have continuously proven themselves and lifted our agency and its mission.”
